Default Text run on (text bleeding off page - word wrapping un-scaled)

I am using an older template (probably from like version 7 or 8 i guess) but still it should NOT matter of that.
but my problem is, I am getting text that runs out of bounds and off the edge of the web template i am using.
it is my first attempt at using this program seriously, and when i try to display in Firefox, the text looks like it has been murdered. in IE it looks fine on my machine, but looks screwy on 1 of my other 5 machines.
All machines are running windows 7 ultimate, and all have their updates etc. I am running the latest browser (IE & Firefox) and have searched this forum (and google) freaking SILLY looking for a solution; and when i can NOT find a solution, it is usualy due to an isolated issue with the end user... that would be me.

I am using the text boxes etc from the template and anytime i shorten the end of the sentence and hit return throughout the entire paragraph making it only 5 words long versus 10 words long, it just auto shrinks the text box smaller thus causing the issue to persist.

There is No WYSIWYG what so ever when it comes to Firefox.
Also I am getting no errors according to this site:
    http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...alidator%2F1.3

but I have just discovered that this site i just discovered ( http://timestopper.net/ )doesn't display properly in firefox either but adds extra content when using IE:
