Magnetic snapping works on the thing under the mouse pointer so to snap corners you must drag one corner onto another.

When I select near the corner of a rectangle, Xtreme selects the pixel of the rectangle under the cursor, not the corner of the box. When you are at a low zoom resolution, you often don't realize it until you zoom in to the place of the edges you tried to mate. Regardless of whether they are corners or edges, they almost never line up as I expect them to. Am I doing something wrong?
