I've been messing about with the brush tool again to try to get a near decent dna brush. This is the best I can get at present. It's simlar to the one Myles created but I've reduced the ladder steps.

I don't know what the colours should be or how regular the "steps" within the ladder. I've attached a gif of the brush.
Settings Scaling= 51-100% Rotation= not along path, Brush angle 180 degrees, Adding 16 degrees. Spacing 40%
The individual groups were 90 pixels High

I'm afraid they've already started to self mutate!

You guys are great. You make this forum more amusing to visit than lots of "funny" movies...

I won't even try to compete at an artistic level, but I was interested in getting a (non-mutated ) strand of DNA with the right base-pair combinations. i.e A(denine) always binds with T(hymine) and G(uanine) always binds with C(ytosine).
I figured out that using settings similar to those described above with the following four groups, and setting the sequence to progress randomly that I could get a randomly generated DNA sequence. The best part about it is watching the strand spiral as you draw it, Cool!!
