I'll see if I can compare an export of the animated gif and an exported mp4 Tom. Of course this won't be definitive, it'll be dependant on the gifs complexity.Not sure how file size of gif would compare with mp4 at the end but yeah plenty of possibilities for the OP to ponder on and try.

I've tried this every way i can and still the colour difference. Everything is set to #101010.Surely just changing the Pasteboard colour to #101010 would work?

I tried exporting my original animated xar file as an animated. gif, as a swf (but my xar file contains feathering which Flash can't handle in Xara) so I didn't bother. I could overcome this feathering effect but it would be far to time consuming. I then exported it as an avi file which worked but the file size was huge. I tried online avi to mp4 convertors but these never worked.
