Gary,
I did take the picture with camera. It is photo of a Christmas cactus flower. Hand held. I cut the image from the background in Xara. Then made pivot arm brush, and applied it to a straight line with a profile.

Hi Rich,
Would it be possible for you to do a small tutorial on how you did this......words don't always work for me, I sometimes need to see pictures and steps to get it.
Thanks either way,
Great drawing.

Ed,
I was trying to photograph the flowering plant. The image just turned out that way because I suffered nurve damage due to a blood condition. I very seldom draw because of other effects. I thought this was interesting and drew around the image with the Shape edit tool. At least I can still do something. Then used combine shape and intersect to get the foreground image. Made a bitmap copy of a redced size for the brush. Brushes rotate at the center of the graphic. I changed the center of rotation by adding a transparent line and groouping the two. The freehand tool lets you define the graphic as a brush. I drew a straight line and selected a line profile from the line gallery. Then edited the brush with the available paramaters.

Similar thing with a blend. Drawn in Xara and colored in E3.
