photo pop up in alpha theme

I started with the alpha theme and have edited the photo pop up and saved it and tested it in a browser (works fine alone) Now when I put it back on the home page, then move it back to the correct location on the page and test it the popups do not locate them selves in the correct location they go to the original pasted location and not where I moved it to.

What is the correct way to put the item back on the home page? I have tried copy/paste, import, drag and drop. if I move it from where it pasted it no longer displays correct.

I hope I have explained well enough for someone to be able to help me.

Sounds like you have only moved the trigger object but not the one on the pop-up layer.

So how would I do it correctly?

If you un-hide the layers in the page and layer gallery (eye icon) you should be able to see them and move them into place.

If the objects are soft grouped before cutting then the layers should all move together.

I opened the alpha_photo.web, then clicked on the object, then applied soft group, then drug it onto the home page and located it. then I looked in the page and layer gallery and only one of the 4 alpha slides were there. I tried to un hide the layers then apply soft group and move it to the home page but that did not work either.

I think I know what you are doing wrong. Try this.

• Unhide all the layers.
• Drag a selection box around all the objects.
• soft group.
• Cut and paste.

If you are using "photo popup 2" there should be 17 objects.

That did it. Wow what a chore that turns out so simple if you know what ya are doing.
