How can I check/view Ai and Eps files exported from Xtreme? Import back into Xtreme fails therefore external and preferably free (cheap) viewer would be nice
Thanks for tips

Which version of Xtreme are you using Suvek. My .ai export (albeit very simple) usually re-import without errors in V5.1

There are 10 types of people in this world .... Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
Read your EPS into a text editor and look at the revision. P5 went to a version 8, and the earlier versions were at 7 as far as I can tell.
So, see what you have first.

Still using Xtreme 3, probably about time to upgrade
Post here and we could test? Watch the upload limit if you are doing it that way. Also what about using Inkscape if I can remember right it imports EPS & AI.

Downloaded and tested X5pro trial today and everything can be reimported There is still no transparency support :/ but that can be corrected by hand in case of small files. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
About Inkscape - i have version 0.46 here on windows and theres no Eps import (provided by plugin on linux i think) and AI import seems to work with new pdf compatible AI format (9+ ?) only.
I am currently using the release candidate inkscape 0.47pre2-1 and that specifies .ai version 9.0 or above for import in the dialog box..

A good time to upgrade ? I believe there is a 25% off special offer from Xara at the moment.
