Jeff that error appears to indicate you do not have .NET 2.0 or a newer version installed on your computer.

Hans as Steve already mentioned you do not need to reset to defaults to change the arrow sizes. You cannot have Xara Xtreme open when making the change. When Xtreme closes it seems to write the registry entries that were current when it was opened. That means if you start XaReg then open Xtreme, then make some changes to the registry using XaReg those changes will be lost when you close Xtreme.
As for the bitmap copy DPI, this only applies to the Arrange menu > Create Bitmap Copy (Shift+Ctrl+C keyboard shortcut). It will not affect any other Bitmap operations.

Hi Bill,
That's the strangest thing.
I don't have Xtreme open and I can only set the arrow sizes when i reset to defaults.
I cannot choose the dpi option at all.
Hans
Hans can you upload a screen grab of XaReg on your machine?

Here you go Bill.
Hans the Bitmap DPI and the Arrow scale numberic up/down controls are enabled by default. The only time they are disabled (grayed out) is when XaReg cannot read the registry key.
It appears that something is preventing XaReg from accessing some parts of the registry as the program initializes.
In the case of the Arrow scale controls using the Reset to Default button forces a re-read of the registry and access to those keys is allowed.
Try turning off your security software and then start XaReg to see if all XaReg options are enabled (not grayed out).

Thanks Bill and Steve - the bitmap copy dpi function is most welcome![]()

Nothing lasts forever...
I am still using Sledgers X4RegHacks and it works fine!
If I upgrade to XaReg do I have to do anything special?
Thanks guys![]()
If you have .NET 2.0 or newer installed, the only thing to do is to download the zip file from the XaraXone.
Unzip the XaReg.exe file to a folder on your computer. Double click the exe file to run XaReg.
