Carefull Logo and Signage designs

When designing logos and signage great care must be taken not to inadvertently create something else.

A customer showed me some examples of extremely poor planning, attention and forethought given to designs before they were obviously finally accepted and used.

As TG get's many requests about logos and design help, I thought it only fitting to share these examples.

There's a similar example in our town. Atherton Secondhand Shop. I pointed out to the owner that the acronym was rather unfortunate. He was quite amused as he'd never even though of it!

Reminds me of a logo a company named Locum used (for a very short time). The Locum logo(type) is written in lower case sans serif and some genius designer came up with the idea to form the 'o' as heart shaped. Unfortunately, the 'L' could be mistaken as an 'I' (which is also was and the logo shortly withdrawn).
