Hi,
Is there any other way of 'bending' or 'arching' images, bitmaps, fills etc other than first using the trace? I wanted to 'bend' some cloud formations made through the plasma and cloud fills.

Sure, there are various plugins that will do that for you.
Here is a photo that was distorted using a filter named "Twirl"
You have full control over how much effect you want.
Note however, I did this distortion in Adobe Elements 4, not Xtreme, but there are plugins for Xtreme that will do the same.

Hi Andy,
I am aware of the plug ins, I have tried severalbut I was after more control as in the mould tool.

You Can Try blending copies of the bitmap along a curve.
Thanks John,
I am at that point now. Blending different shapes of clouds, even lines. One advantage of this is that you then can mould the shape. I have come up with some wild shapes!
Rupert
All you can do with a bitmap and the Mold Tool is perspective or straight-sided envelopes.
But if you play around with blends and transparencies, you can do just about anything you want. Well, you can do a lot of things.

Thanks Gary that is an interesting way to get the effect, will put you advice into action.
Glad you corrected you comment... like 'well almost anything!'
Rupert
Gary, I used the joining images to create different shapes but I too had trouble reproducing the final sphere. I just put it down to me not doing something right!
Rupert
I don't think that sphere effect is possible using a blend then?
