I think it was when I was a teenager, I bought a couple of books that have nothing but pictures of these types of drawings... They were called "The Impossible Coloring Book" vol. 1 & 2 or part 1 & 2. Anyhow, thought I'd mention it... not sure if these books are still available for those interested.
A coiled spring?

salaam, that is one of the best coiled springs i have ever seen
or so i thought, until i saw two starting points of the spring in the foreground
does this need correction or am i wrong?

Thanks Bob,
I made it on X3D with a series of rings with the 2 end rings incomplete (3/4 segments).
I wanted it to look like a spring even though it is not possible to create such shapes directly on X3D. At the same time I wanted the viewer to realise that it can not possibly be a coil, that is why I left the 2 ends visible at the front.

What's this? It's an example of pixel imaging. Could you say what it is?
Now walk away from your monitor by 10 to 15 feet.

The further away y'are the better it looks - in the same way that bagpipes sound better the further you get away from 'em.
Reminds me of what Mark Twain said about Wagner's music. He said that it was not as bad as it sounds, or words to that effect.Originally Posted by Intbel
