    I had a tutorial that was in an old COREL Magazine Feb. 1995
    The title of the tutorial is Borwing Shades ( How to isolate shaodws and highlights to use as special effects) by J.Scott Hamlin

    And at that time i could not get the same result as shown in his tutorails, so i bookmarked it for later use.
    Yesterday while cleaning my old files i saw this mag, and looked at the bookmarks in it, i found it, Then i decided to do the same but this time in PP10 instead of PP7

    I had the same result not satisfying and not matching the final results, not even near

    Problem faced :
    1- when coverted the image to Gray mode the Histogram Equalization filter was not accessible, i had to convert back to RGB
    2-When applied the same parameters in Equalization filter the result not the same ( 136 LOW, 197 Mid

    3- i did not understand when he said " Using this image as transparency mask"

    Down is the tutorial and the images, i highlited the text that i did not understand.

    Recreating this tutorial would be apperciated

    Yes , as shown above, the main problem that i could not get the right seperations, Highlihgts and shadows, as shown in Post 2 fig 4 & 5
    using Histogram Equalization filter.

    i did not understand what he meant by "using this image as a tarnsparecy mask"

    Micheal i highlited the text in yellow for the steps that confused me in Post 6 & te

    The idea is to take the highlights and shaows from an image to use in another image, i undersatnd the concept but not the steps.

    The bottom line is i want to use the water drops in a new image to produce the wet look .
