This is driving me crazy and I can't find an answer. I need to import a gif file for a navbar, mouse off. Then, create a mouseover bar with a different graphic. How do import a different graphic for a mouseover navbar. When I do it simply, the exported file uses one graphic, not both. There's got to be a tutorial on this but I can't find it.
    thanks

    Hey Nick

Welcome to the Xara X Conference.

Here is a November 2001 Xara Xone tutorial that should help.

Here is another May 2001 Xara Xone Tutorial

Check these out and then let us know if this helps you with your question/problem.

I'm sorry but those tutorials do not relate to my question. I have a gif, it's a molecule with atoms surrounding it. This gif I want to use for mouse off. I have another gif, a molecule with a different color atom surrounding it that I want to use for the mouse over. Xara won't allow me to use both gifs. I can use one or the other. Is there another tutorial on the subject. You can see the htm page at http://www.ditrolio.com/finnegan/moleculenavbar.htm

The first tutorial I suggested for you to look at explains how to create your buttons, then substitute different images (such as your molecule images) for the images that Xara creates.

Xara gives names to the different images. So you need to look at the HTML code Xara creates, determine the names of the images, then give your images the same names that Xara uses and replace the Xara created images with your own images.

    It works, trust me.

It's a bit convoluted--kind of like baling wire and chewing gum, but it does work.

You could do this by creating a navbar using Webstyle or menu maker and then simply replace the graphic (mouse on and mouse off state) with your own graphics.
