I've tried trial dl of XX ,but 30 days was only a hook.So I have XaraX on order (over a month) and by reading this forum I see that there were long waits for discs for others.And now there are patches outstanding.Is it possible to download patches prior to installing XX?From the comments on this forumit looks like I may be in for some grief no matter when it's done.
I'm pretty much a neophyte in this genre so it's not like I cant wait...just curious.

Why would you want to patch a trial version that has already expired?????

If you bought online, then you should have an X version that is available to use for the next 8 to 10 weeks while the CD ships. The CD should already be on the way to you now.

The initial long wait at the end of last year was due to the fact that CDs had not gone into production at the time of sale---we still wanted to fix a few bugs before we put them on the CD.

That is now solved.

the best way to use the patch is to wait for your CD version to arrive, then uninstall any trial version of X before you install the CD...then install the patch. You'll avoid potential niggling problems in the future (in 6 months time, after you have forgotten what you installed on top of, when you face a problem, it'll be extremely tough for us to help you solve it).
