    Hi Ross
Any chance of a longer view of the spiral? It just doesn't look right to me, there seems to be more back faces than front faces. I'm sure I'm wrong, but it just doesn't look correct.

I attach a longer view of the spring-thing. It is an exported jpg straight from SketchUp. Note that what you are seeing is four springs that I wound together.

Sure Mike - find it here at the new SketchUp Ruby Forum. Well worth exploring for any SketchUp 4 user.

    Cool Ross.

Springs and screw threads are always hard to figure out.
