When opening CD9 I get message that says:
"The default cofig file is corrupt
    Using default config. instead"

Then when working on layout that contains columns I get error message that says:
    Unexpected error in CD9
    Save files and restart CD9
    Can anyone help with this??

You might have a corrupt workspace

Try holding down F8 then launch Draw, answer Yes to the dialog that asks if you want to reset the workspace to factory defaults.

Any workspace customizations you have will also be reset.

Yep, looks like the workspace is corrupt. do what Peter Clifton offered. the other part of the problem probably has nothing to do with the workspace. Depends on what WinOS you are using. Could be some important files have been overwritten by other programs if Win9x/ME or you may be a User instead of Power User or Administrator if Win2K/XP. Could be you need to re-instal CorelDRAW to weed out the problem.

    Yes, it's me.
