Flight of the Butterflies

This is this weeks modeling exercise. I modeled and textured tonight (about 3 hours). I used Bodypaint to paint the textures for the butterfly.

I try and do at least model a week. Since I finished this early, I am hoping to do some catch up work. (Coke bottle, and other projects)

Hi Randy,

Great butterflies. Brought back a very pleasant childhood memory. Monarchs used to migrate to the Nashville area about 50+ years ago. There would be hundreds if not thousands of them. Only see a few each year now.

Soquili - Sounds like a great site, to bad they still don't come around.

Mike - Thanks and agree. I have tweaked the texture and wings in my lastest version. And slimmed the body down.

Let me know if ya'll like this version better or worse.
