    "... Support code

When writing a Flare Reader or Writer, you will usually have access
to a Flare library, module or DLL which will give you access to a Flare
file at the Record level. You shouldn't need to get involved with any of
the compression systems that exist beneath that level.
Please contact Xara Ltd. for information about the availability of
    Flare libraries..."

To Charles what's with Flare libs or Is some technical info available?

BTW: I found Flare docs by chance. Now Im reading it.
It seems no link on Xara site. Some links inside
    http://www.xara.com/support/docs/webformat/spec/
    are broken.
    Regards, Dmitry.

Had a very quick look in the support docs and the idea is tremendious but it requirea a plugin for the browser and plugins will be supplied for both Netscape and IE.

My only question is how many people will bother to download the plugin to that they can view Xara vector graphics in web pages with so few people using Xara. Or am I reading these pages wrong?

I'm not sure they ever got that plug-in to work with Xara X.

This documentation is very old, and indeed we did not update the plug-in with Xara X. This was in the days before an industry standard web vector format existed we saw the opportunity for one. In the end Flash filled that gap, although SVG is the open standard alternative.
