Any feedback on this logo design? It is not for the parent company, just a "subsidiary?" in Scandinavia. They sell equipment to slice and dice trees.

Done in Xara X of course.

I like it. Clean design. The tree and crown combination is very nice.

    Hey Risto,

    Fancy meetin' you here! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I like the logo, have you played with, instead of the shadow tool, the bevel tool?? Just very slightly bevel it with Round or Round 2 and see if that doesn't make it go POP a bit more. If not then I vote for the first one!! As Soquili says, Clean design!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif

It's got my vote - very good.

I'd keep it without he shadow, once it is established you can add bevels and shadows etc to enhance the main logo.

Looks good to me too and I would concur with Turan - drop the shadow.

    Nice work Risto!

All of the components work really well together - simple but effective, like a logo should be. I especially like the Viking-tree-crown idea!

A couple of suggestions.. you might want to make the top white tree chevrons a bit smaller or just look that they get smaller as they go up. You may also want to think about increasing the gaps between the crown and horizontal line and horizontal line to Timber text in proportion to the gap between the Timber and King text - Just a thought..

    Good Luck, Steve

    Thanks for looking everyone!

Steve - I did have the chevrons going from small to big, but I thought it looked too much (http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif) like a tree... I also wanted the top most chevron to break up the crown a little bit, which I didn't have it doing the first time around. I'll give it another try tonight! Thanks for the suggestions - and yes, I'll look at the spacing also.

Hey, I noticed that one my existing chevrons are misaligned a little bit also. Hmmm... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
