    This is a show and tell post. We are working on some revisions for a comic book "Cosmic Soda Pop". I did these revisions with the Xara freehand tool - using varying weights of static lines. some interior lines were converted to existing line shapes. i converted the lines to shapes and did some minor editing for a smoother look. Previously i had been using the illustrator pressure sensitive freehand tool. i much prefer to start with static lines, so i can concentrate on the drawing before thinking about line weight.

    I like the nice loose line work, the calligraphy brush gives this. It is much more expressive than even width lines.

    Definitely, the calligraphic brush is great if you want a more organic look. i would use it if i was going to try to get the look of paint.
