    Default trying to import a PDF from Adobe InDesign 20.0 Macintosh

    Hi all,

    when i open the pdf file the font behaves totally strange.

    pls have a look a the attached file.

    the pink is a screenshot from acrobat reader how it shoul look like.

    any ideas?

    It seems like you don't have the fonts that are used in the PDF installed on your computer, so XDP uses substitutes.

    Agree

    if a copyright font is used in a PDF file, then although it will display when reading the file, the license may not allow you to edit it, if it is not installed on your computer, and so xara substitutes it

    Perhaps the pdf uses a variable font.
