Is there a newer version of XARA X due soon and what is the latest version to date ???

doesn't it feel good to know that this tool didn't require a new learning curve every few months, with endless modifications between build 1534 and build 1678? I mean we are all using the same tool every day, without having to learn new commands. And isn't it wonderful that XARA X still beats other products in productivity, flexibility and speed?

It's one of the few things in life you can rely on, no matter how complicated or challenging your next assignment or project will be.

No hassle with new downloads, patches, installations - just pure fun with version 1.0 D.

Compared to other apps on my machines this is a marvel. I get snowed with updates and patches for new versions for my CAD and 3D stuff, but only few of them really get the apps to work as intended - that's frustrating.

But not Xara. Every morning I log in I can run it right away - hassle free. So why should I care about patches, upgrades, version numbers with two digits? Life can be so wonderful without headaches and scary thoughts about possible crashes in the wrong moment...

After some weeks on non-graphical things I have been back thrashing XaraX. Bending and cropping bitmaps, layering, experimenting, fiddling with fills and transparency. All so fast. Bliss.

At least I know there is only one version to look out for. Most frustrating when you just get hold of a version to find tempting talk of a new upgrade soon to come out, even though some offer you the upgrade cheaper if you have bought an older version within the last couple of weeks.

What with preparing to move house and things needing to be done to both cars (bad timing), getting Xara X & 3D keeps going onto the back-burner. I have Coreldraw v11 to get by on at the moment. I suppose I will have to just put up with this for the time being LOL. July I aim to get Xara X and 3D. Gets somewhat depressing hearing all the goodies I am missing out on with Xara X and I have been a member here for six months. Still ...... I must agree with Jens and Simon. Xara works very well the way that it is. This is still the program that I use the most. True there could be some things that might be improved. But overall I still like it better than any other graphics software I have tried. It is not bloated like most other programs. Maybe if all of us loyal Xara users keep encouraging new users to buy the software , someday there will be some useful updates to the product.
