Egg .. so the svg is placed on top of the slider on another layer? If it requires any coding I think I’ll be lost. Thx

My gut tells me to use a Xara Chart for this.

By all means place this one-pager in an IFRAME on the main site.

Xara Chart - Raise the Roof.xar

It even turns the graphic into another 'slider'!

Never thought of charts @acorn. Thanks. As the contributions go up, I can change colors and draw an indicator. You guys are so generous.

Failing that set the Autofit to container Off and set the Font Size manually. That might work.
You could try changing the hidden default slide to have a transparent background as well.

Bundle the Sider and images into a separate XAR file so we can have a dig around.

Acorn - Xara says that auto fit to container is OFF by default. I've looked high and lo and can't even find the setting. Ive clicked the shape options, and also the drop down text option by auto-fit doesn't appear. Must've missed something.

Bill, switch to the Text tool. Select the Slide text area and then click the small roundel bottom-right.

Yes, it does appear to be unticked. One less to worry about.

Hi Bill, yes it's very straight forward. You can copy my placeholder and put it directly above your slider on the mouse off layer.

I've attached a xar and the animated svg.

Further to my testing with sliders - I used the same slider template with the three slides. I did not change any colors, or photos in the slider. I did change the font to Noto Sans.
I've found using the template that the same problem existed. There is a a very short time when the transparent rectangle is solid black for a second, then changes back to the transparency that it should be. @acorn and @egg supplied a workaround.
Since I like to customize many of the Xara components - I simply solved the sporadic upload problem by constructing my own transparent rectangle, added the text of my choice, put that on top of the slide and add a "fade up and in" animation.
    Solves the niglet completely.
I think I'll mess with some of the other sliders and see if the same problem exists. IMO I think there should be a nice and smooth loading.
