    Hello

When I create a new default A4 page, why is every other layer black?

Operating System: Windows 11 Home, version 24H2, OS build: 26100.1742
    Computer: Microsoft Surface Laptop v7.

because you have switched to the light interface which does not work with designer pro 20

it is not intended to; it never was officially supported [switching back]

edit - should mention that it does not work with the pro+ programs either

TBH, I have no idea what you are talking about.
How do I change away from "the light interface"?

Wait: "Control+Shift+Alt+S" seems to have done it.

Mind you I would still argue that it's "a bug" if the Light Interface is available and doesn't work properly...

what is it about 'it was never officially supported ' that you don't understand ?

the program installs with dark interface to work as intended and you must have changed it to light, with "Control+Shift+Alt+S" presumably

but the company no longer support the light interface and that is their deliberate choice - the "Control+Shift+Alt+S" switch is there for programmers to use when testing, that was always it's function - it was never any more than a hack for users in earlier dark interface versions, and now some of it's functionallity no longer works with pro20 and pro+ because the dark interface has moved on

that could be argued as a lack of functionallity in the developers switch, but it would only be a bug if it were an unintentional consequece of something

Just a heads-up, it’s best to stick with the dark mode since the light interface isn’t fully supported in Pro 20.
