Default Where is a forum for licensing questions

I recently purchased Xara X. I have a question about whether I can install the program on my desktop and my laptop as most apps generally allow - or used to anyway.

I contacted Xara "support" two weeks ago and have yet to receive any kind of response.

If you could please point me in the direction of an answer to my question I'd deeply appreciate it.

    Thanks

there hasn't been a version of the program specifically called 'xara X' for twenty years - all the versions of the program will let you do this, but the restrictions on how many times you can install vary depending on the exact version

if it is an old version, and if you bought it 'used', then xara may need to unlock it; if it is a very old program they may not actually be able to do this anymore

old programs may need to be installed on windows 10/11 in compatibility mode

did you contact them via xara.com website ?

if by any chance you mean xara designer pro + - you can install that and run it from on any computer, as long as you can log onto xara's site on the same computer and activate it; no limit that I know of [but you may not be able to use it on more than one at once, I have never tried]

this does not say you cannot use lots of computers as long as it is only ever installed on two at any one time; that is what i meant to say and in that respect the EULA could be read either way...

    Hi all,
Please allow me to apologize for this post. If it wasn't evident, I was a little frustrated at that moment. I eventually figured it out once I resolved my temporary cranial-rectal fusion.

BTW the version I was asking about is Designer Pro 20?

    Thanks for your help!

    No need to apologise.

Xara Designer Pro v20 will have the same EULA as the Plus version.
Xara has never published a separate one for v20, despite its documentation stating all EULAs are here: https://www.xara.com/eula/.
