.XAR extension no longer linked to my Xara Designer

My Xara Designer Pro version is no longer linked with the .XAR extension after a bluescreen. It is also not possible to put it in order via the Windows 11 settings because the program is no longer listed here. Can anyone help me get this link back in order so that Xara starts again when double-clicking on a .XAR.

Right click any .xar file and choose Properties, then the Change button next to Opens With.
Scroll right to the bottom of the list and click Choose An App On Your PC.

Browse to where you installed Xara. Typically C:\Program Files\Xara\(whatever version you have) and select the .exe. Typically DesignerPro.exe.

GK5, this should work for W11.
Right-click on a .XAR file > Properties > General > Opens with > Change.

You'll get a list of candidate apps.
If not there, click More apps.
Scroll down the list.
If still not there, click Look for another app on this PC.

You are going to need Step 4.

If still not there, click Look for another app on this PC. --> Even here Xara is not in the list - I cannot browse to program files

Frank, then your login credentials need to be elevated to Admin.

I have removed Xara Designer and re-installed it and everything works now. Thanks for your help.
