    Gary, I've had time to look at your demo. Thank you for it. Yes, 'fixed' is correct.

    I have also played with the object-fit value and found:

    <video id="vid" muted autoplay loop preload style="position: fixed; width: 100vw; object-fit: contain;">
    <source src="..." type="video/mp4">
    Your browser does not support the video tag.
    </video>
    <script> var mute = document.getElementById("vid"); </script>

    works best (for me). But do stick with 'cover'.

    I think I personally would used my Hero approach (https://www.talkgraphics.com/showthr...7#post654847); it is by far the most versatile. In my XAR there, you have three different IDs to consider for the Mute toggle button.

    Hi Acorn. As you state the xar file is 14KB if the source is on the server.
    If it's embedded it creates a video-test-egged-embedded_xar_files folder which is 285MB.

    I'd prefer to load the assets to my server individually.

    Egg, thank you.
    The increase in XAR file size looks like all the video control images and probably the video first frame as a Placeholder JPEG.
    I just tried into my existing file and got an adjust folder with the MP4 weighing in at 279MB. This was without me actually saving the file, it just happened.
    This means if I were to publish that XAR, the external assets would be uploaded as well. Not what you want on a slow or metered connection.

    So I then Saved As and got 398kB XAR with 279MB adjust folder.
    I then deleted the local MP4 from the XAR and resaved.
    The XAR reduced but the adjust folder persisted.

    So I created a near empty XAR - 9kB.
    I added a 273kB MP4 and saved.
    No adjust folder and the XAR increased to 633kB.
    If I delete the Placeholder image, the XAR just reduces to 515kB.

    It all seems a dog's dinner.

    My normal approach is create a XAR.
    Manually create its adjust or link to a small local file and then delete it from the adjunct folder.
    Add your external assets into the adjunct folder manually.
    Link manually in the XAR.
    Small XAR, total control.
