Default Turn off a fill texture

Embarrassing. I have a rectangle of a certain color. I want some texture and add something from the fill gallery.

Now, I can’t seem to turn off that particular texture. Ended up shutting the program down. That did the trick.

    I’ve missed a little something haven’t I ? Thanks in advance.

Bill, Utilities > Options > General - Give new objects most recent attributes.

If you want to keep this setting, which is very useful, then change Fill > Bitmap to Flat.

You can also Copy something and elsewhere Paste Attributes (Shift+Ctrl+A).

Even Join Shapes / Break Shapes...

It's the first thing I turn off in my templates. I loath it. Unfortunately it can be very 'sticky' when using brushes.

Detest the stuff - prefer honey.

Anyhow, recent attributes doesn't transfer across transparencies so I use both and even keep a few candidate shapes on the side-lines.

Yes Egg. It’s caught me a number of times. Just wondering if turned off, what would it default too. The second from last setting. That’s for me to experiment and find out.

It's all Black, so Black, ...

It really depends on the Template settings that you are using at the time of its save.
