i'd like to try and draw a simple solar system setup diagram and need some electrical symbols.... any ideas where to start? i work with designer pro X10...

what electrical symbols do you need ?
generic solar panel [I assume] diagrams tend to be like this

well if it were me and I was happy there would be no copyright issues I would either vectorise/cut-out the symbols, if the resoulution was high enough, or redraw them - if they are generic symbols that should be ok
pinterest may have some info if you want to look there, or istock [not free] and other such...

Being a chartered electrical engineer, I went to https://www.drawio.com and picked SVG output for Engineering > Electrical 1 where all of the symbols are there and you can flowchart all the lines dynamically and then simply drag the saved SVG into your Xara app.
