    Default Favicon question

One could write an entire book on Xara. There’s so many questions on features I’m glad we have this forum.

I took an icon from elements, put it off the page, and made it a favicon. Worked just fine.

I liked the image so much I took the same image, copied it, and moved it to a layer on page. I couldn’t figure out why the image would not display. Then I remembered it’s a favicon. Understood. Re downloaded the same fresh image and used it in the layer with no drama.

    My question is why? Interesting.

I could be totally wrong here bill - but is the favicon not labelled favicon in the program ?

presumably then the label carries over to the copy, so all you need do would be un-label the copy ?

Exactly as @handrawn mentioned. When you Name something, a copy keeps the Name. A favicon label is designed not to show the image when rendered, it is no longer there in the render.

thanks - wasn't sure if it were a name as I understood it from animation, or another kind of name, or for that matter something else...

but it is nice to be right once in a while

@bwood sorry bill - should have said name, not label, lapsed into other terminology
