Save a simple graphic with a transparent background

Hi Everybody,

I have a simple brain-fart going on.

Using Xara Designer Premium v 19


I have a simple graphic that I want to save, but, with a transparent background.




How do I tell the Export PNG dialog to save with a transparent background so that I can put this graphic where
ever I want?

true color + alpha - colour depth on palette tab

And, if there is a rectangle behind the object, do not select it as it will then replace the transparent background.

Where is the "Palette Tab"?

palette options - it is the default tab on export

Thank you for the tip, handrawn. My issue is that I cannot find that dialog box.

make sure your object is selected, then

file menu > export

enter your file name and file type and click export - the dilog box should appear; if it does not then minimise the program on screen and then maximise, sometimes the dialog hides behind

that is the export dialog box

but if you click file menu > export PNG, then you need to click the settings button after entering file name, not the export button [which bypasses the dialog]
