This is way cool. My first thought of the program was it could only do basic shapes, and outlines. However when I saw the Minibus...

For starters, I've never attempted any Vector drawing before. Just bitmap and I do not consider myself an artist.

My first real attempt at a Vector drawing was done with PSP and it came out okay. But I wanted a more complex one. So I downloaded a copy of XaraX and created a Vector of a Logo. I was able to import the logo into Xara3D and get a decent one (attached) but I really want to get on that looks like the real logo with its colors.

Below is the picture that I was able to create with the Vector drawing I made in XaraX:

However, I want to be able to animate the full Vector drawing that I made (this is converted to gif) without loosing the colors OR being able to make the colors again:

I'm not sure how to import the full version without loosing the colors. Also, I ended up with a solid where the red was with no text even though the red is behind the text. Another thing I've got to figure out.

Hi. When you import a vector into Xara3D it joins all the shapes into a single shape. Therefore when you apply colour in the original Xara vector, Xara3D ignores these and imports it as one shape with a single colour.
There are several ways to achieve what your after. The simplest is to draw the shape (including the red filled section which you seem to have excluded) then create a bitmap version in XaraX and then apply this as Text Texture in Xara3D.
A more complex way would be to export various parts of the shape and import them into Xara3D, applying different extrusions an colours, then use the base line shift to align the different elements.

Thanks for the Tips! I applied a color gif of the image as a texture and got what I was looking for. I will try the other way this weekend when I get more time.
