Pro+ now Beeps on Close

Probably a 1st World problem, but my Pro + (Sep 4) now sends a pronounced Beep when I close the program. Am I the only one?

it has happened before

if like me you are often listening to music [or even worse recording/processing in the background] you can get totally peed off by this and it can be very loud indeed

it went away in version 19; it seems to be back in pro+

with me it's only when I cancel the close [backups being switched off]


I think it may be a developer feature that has not been disabled... can't see any useful purpose for the user

hopefully they will get round to fixing it [again]

We've confirmed that the beep is a result of closing the program whilst content is being downloaded to the local designs gallery. You will see the Designs Gallery tab shows "Local designs gallery ... updating".

It has been captured for improvement which will be part of a future release. (Not scheduled yet)

thanks matt - but since I only have demo of pro+ I will not be downloading anything right ?

it happens for me in the senario I mentioned post #2 :

with me it's only when I cancel the close [backups being switched off]

as in cancel the close dialog and stay in the program/document

I realise I may be in the minority in not having xara backups running but I have third party backup of disk and really don't need it

Matt, thank you for that clarification. What now determines thse downloads as you've removed the Download All option?
Do we ever achieve a full download so that we can work offline.

While I want and expect everything, I would like to have the option to pick a download period.
