PDF export - Security tab issue

Hello,
I used to be able to go into the Security tab when exporting a PDF and restrict options.
These days it's all grayed out and I can't change anything.
Please tell me what I'm doing wrong, thanks!

why in your forum profile under 'xara software used' does it say 'NONE' ?

which version are you using ?

you could try running the program as administrator [once]

on the general tab in PDF options, what 'PDF version compatibility' do you have selected ?

they may not all support the security option

in the Security tab if you have none checked in document encryption & permissions password, everything will be greyed out.
Check 40 0r 128 bit and it should work

that said, the issue I saw was that not all version compatibility options allow you to tick the apply security box, before you even get to the encryption permissions
