    Default How would you do...

How would you do this graphic in Xara Designer Pro?

By the way, is a Aaron Draplin design.

Create a continuous star-like shape in a line

Create a rainbow blend of the 3-panel shape

    Create a custom brush

Change the line weight to the width of the 3 panel shape and apply the brush.

The hard part for me would be creating the repeating curved shape.

Top marks! I thought if anyone can do it, Egg can! You’ve even managed the colour!

I spent ages thinking about this last night and just couldn’t work out a clean way to make the continuous overlapping line. Looking forward to the explanation when it comes.

Very nice Egg, the real challenge from my point of view was indeed how to manage the color shading, couldn't figure out at a first glance at an easy solution.
Looking forward for the explanation on how you managed it.

I'm stumped, although I think I'm beginning to understand how it might be done. I'm not at my PC at the moment and had to use AD, so obviously this entry should be ignored.

We appear to have tackled it very much the same way Ernie.

As folks seem to want to know how I went about it:
