Visual no difference between Repeating and Live Copies

I just noticed this. It appears to me anyway that when you click on anything repeating you get a * in the right hand corner.
But when you click something that’s a live copy you still get the same * in the right hand corner.

Anyway one can tell the visual difference between repeating and live copies when a element is selected?

Bill, the simplest way is to switch to a Multi-page view.

If you move an L-object, nothing else happens any where.
If you move an R-copy, all follow.
If you change an R-copy or L-copy colour, all change unless you have made the L-copy unique.
Same for a rotation or flip.

It all hinges on "visual difference" if you are just selecting.
Visually, in the Page & Layer gallery, L is a Live Copy Group and R is a Repeating Group.

If you right-click select an L, it shows as Open Live Copy.
Double-click L and it opens into an Edit Inside window.

Double-click an R and you might find yourself in a Rectangle, Shape or Photo tool.

Strangely, you can change an R-Rectangle to a Shape.
It stays a shape until you move ione of the others and it reverts.
If you change the Shape, the others become shapes.

Right-click or Double-click is the most convenient way.

What you should never do is make a Live Copy Repeating.

Thank you Phil. I didn't mention the Status Line as it can be toggled off (Alt-W-B-T).
Also, there are Status Line nuances for both if you have selected the Group or the L/R-object itself.
