Re: Wacom ExpressKey Remote Accessory - any users?
Hi Jono, I've no experience of Wacom Expresskey Remote but I do own a Stream Deck which I have configured to work with Xara (see images below). I've used wacoms a lot a few years back but as I do very little drawing now I've reverted to the mouse and the Wacom Bamboo sit's on my windowledge gathering dust.
I bought the Stream Deck to experiment using it as an alternative to select tools from the toolbar. It works well for this but again I rarely use it. I think the main reason for this is that I'm almost exclusively right handed. I only ever use my right hand to peck away at the keyboard (and I still have to look at the keys!) Therefore to select a tool from the Stream Deck I have to let go the mouse, click the required tool key on the Stream Deck then return to my mouse, so it defeats the purpose. I also have Dupuytren Contracture in my left hand with my ring finger sticking out at 90 degrees to my palm permanently so operating it with my left hand becomes very difficult.
That said if I were able to use my left hand I'd say a remote would be a worthwhile investment.
