    Default DropPriv.exe

    There is a program DropPriv.exe in the DP+ folder and listed in the W10 Start menu under Xara, I searched for information could not find can any one help please.

    Peter, at a guess, it will be a very tool that can drop privileges of the root user and execute a command.

    Xara probably needs it as part of its installation after you have given permission for the install.

    I would just ignore the W10 menu entry.

    that application is not one of the ones installed with the previous versions; I wonder if it will obviate 'right click and run as administrator' ...

    I'm hopeful that it is a capability that will allow the current Cache location to be user-defined at cramming templates into the AppData location is senseless as stuffing GBs of them into a primary drive wastes high speed access for things that don't need it. I could then park it all in a second drive and probably eliminate all the duplicate caches I have gathered over the years, 25GB for one login account alone.
