Steve, he approach I suggest is to force a pop-up to open on load: https://www.talkgraphics.com/showthr...619#post499619.
This once opens for a set time: https://www.talkgraphics.com/showthr...623#post650623.

Thanks have tried this and I can get the layer to show by clicking the small box I placed on the mouseoff layer but can't get the layer to automatically load as the page loads. What am I likely to be doing wrong.

Which of the options did you elect for?

A Pop-up Layer with Name Banner.
An object on the Banner Layer with Name banner.
Some object on the MouseOff Layer (actually any where) with Link action to open the Banner Layer.
Some code as described, like, <script>xr_v1(document.getElementById('banner').pa rentNode.parentNode)</script>

Usually it is a typo or mismatched quotes or brackets.

Without seeing what you have done, who knows?
