how drag MANY photos to a web without stacking

rather not have to do this by hand
but have them auto position in a column with fixed size and spacing
and
Ideally, text under each one (eg the image title

or after add all photos by hand - then set to auto vertical spacing

Place the top-most & bottom-most images in position with the other in-between.
Use Object Alignment - H: Align centrally, V: Distribute equi-spaced.

Include Text objects if you like.

You can tweak the spacing by re-applying after moving either outer object.
You could apply Push settings as well.

You can even set up a vertical Ruler and snap to it and then apply Push.
