@Egg and @gray: Thanks for the warm words.

@all: I'm glad you like my work and I thinking for the next Dürer.
Maybe I will do the "Apocalyptic riders".

    Cheers from Bavaria,
    Ernie

Ernie, you enter the Holiday season as monks would have done in the past, completing a spiritual exercise resulting in a beautiful work! Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

Yes Boy, like a monk in the deep forest without civilization.

Merry X-mas to you too. And slip good in the new year!

Well, I would argue that the monasteries at that time were actually at or very close to the center of civilization. But let's not lose ourselves in petty debate; the actual practice, albeit inspirational, must have been solitary and harsh.

Beautiful job, Ernie! If you are ever interested in the astronomy that led the Canaanites/Israelites to create the Samson story, I've shared it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGoZGmI6pKI.

As far as I've gone into that story, I'm surprised I've never came across that woodcut before! Thank you for the beautiful enlightenment!

Thank You David for your kind words.
The history behind Samson is well known but thank you for your remarks in your video.

Dürer made several woodcuts with Biblical themes.

I am currently working on the “apocalyptic riders”.

    Cheers from Bavaria,
    Ernie
