    Default paid for updates - never got new serial number (sorry if wrong forum section)

    have v17
    bought v18 last august (never unpacked it)
    I have been out of the country 8 of the last 10 months
    and did not install v18
    (as did not want to break anything working)
    when I ran the installer, it asked for the Ser# on my purchase email
    well - I have ALL my emails for the last 30+ years
    and there is no new ID from XARA or MAGIX

    I tried to use the serial number from 17
    and it was denied as too old

    any suggestions?? or am I out the $100

    Lucky me
    went to Magix website and saw a link to MyAccount
    (logged in and found the v18 sitting there with its new Serial #)
    tried the install again and it worked !!
    v18 then it asked if I wanted to upgrade to v19
    said sure - and it also worked
    Xara Designer Pro X 19.0.0.64291 DL x64 May 3 2022

    now to play with v19 vs 17

    DL now the online content to local
    little rough - overseas in the hotel (might not be back before my year is up )
    for error codes while DL (said Xara server code ##)
    trying to see how much really got downloaded

    I peeked into each component and at end of the folder it says more online
    makes me think not all were DL - but they were
    (guess not too clever in that way)

    one thing that POPPED
    the text seems AMAZING
    (have 4K OLED)

    another odd thing
    I noted during install u can edit PDF
    so I tried (even though I DO have a fully paid-for retail pdf program that does allow editing)
    was surprised to see an error message saying missing fonts ??
    times roman and Calibra
    other than that - editor worked great

    more later as I play

    Thanks for your heads-up.
    The PDF needs reading into as it creates its own subset of a given font and renames it. It mostly works but something you need to watch.
