Default British summer on the beach

Sat and watched this roll in off the sea today. Great to get back in touch with nature. Cloned out several people that spoilt the view! (phone snapshot/East Yorkshire coast)

Jono, you would still be removing people had it been last Monday and Bournemouth beach!
    You couldn't see the sand.
In North Uist, where we once stayed, you could have five miles of uninterrupted sand and no people whatsoever.

    The cloud bank is impressive.

Acorn, Yes, it looked crazy on Bournemouth beach. Some humans are definitely more social than others. I’ve been on a beach like that in Spain in my young and wild days. If you go for a dip, drift along a bit, finding where you were again is a nightmare. Never again.

North Uist sounds amazing. Quite an adventure getting there though expect.

hd, great shot. I wouldn’t have hung around too long for that one. Although I’m only about 10 miles away, I do miss being near the sea and all her moods.

    Handrawn,

Your picture makes me think ole Mother nature is pissed at all the Windmills and is going to do something about it.

    Jonopen,

Like your how you captured the storm moving in.

but at least they are mostly well out to sea, and the turbines are built locally by siemens

our coast is one of europe's bigger lobster fishing areas, and the cables are said to be harmful due to the magnetic fields unless buried under the sea bed; the turbines themselves can affect bird life too...
