Default Graphic used as Og image in background

I have an image that I use to be an image so when someone posts from the site to social media it uses that picture using the "og" tag.

What I notice is that on some browsers you can see it loading. Ugh!
I have it set on the page background on every page. Is there a way to hide it but still use it?

    Tips? Tricks?

    Thanks in advance,
    Sue

Sue, try going to https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ and paste your pages url and select SCRAPE. This refreshes FB's server for you OG.

Hi Egg. I have done that and that part works perfectly.

What happens when the webpages load though, is that the image flashes on the screen really quick. You'd miss it if you blink.
I want to stop it from doing that....

Guessing, as I've never used the OG tag.

Does the graphic, the Star of David I presume, need to be on the page? If you move it off page, like a favicon, does it work then?

Chris M, no it does not need to be on the page but I'm not sure it will work as the "og" if I move it off.
I will try and update you. Great idea to try! And yes, it's the Star of David.
Thanks so much for the idea!l

Sue, I don't think you need the image on every page.
I take it that you're not using Xaras newish Web Properties/Open Graph feature?

Try putting your tags in the head section, not the body.

Egg, I don't know what that is, "Xara's Web Properties/Open Graph" feature.
    Please do share...

I moved it off the page, and YES, works perfectly!
    Thanks.
Now will try Egg's suggestion too!
