I just took the text and squished it down, and skewed it, with the middle handle using selector tool - for this to work you need to have smart transform unticked - right click lock aspect ratio padlock on selector tool infobar to access this

bill - your link refers to skewing only

have you managed to make the text squish ? - it is hit and miss with me, it worked before now it does not appear to - the only way I can get the text to squish [as opposed to resize] now is to group it with itself and even then, smart transform has to be unticked

Using a text area, as opposed to text line, I can make the text squish by pressing the 'Alt' key and dragging. Smart transform is on. XDP and WDP 19.

Yup. I’ve done that accidentally from time to time.

thanks chris, that will be it... if you have smart transform off you don't need to press the the ALT key

Nancy, I can't see that text flipping or rotating at all, it just changes it's vertical location ?

You're right Egg, how do I get that effect in this orientation? I love what you did even though it wasn't what I intended. I saw it on a TV ad and can't find an actual example. It looked like an invisible box with text rotating around and pausing after each side comes in to view.Anyway, I think I'll go in a different direction and utilize what I've seen here. I tried using the mould tool with a perspective on the top text, but it transforms funny. Nancy
