    Ingo, in typography there are 72 points to the inch. In CSS, there are 96 pixels to the inch.
    4px=3pt.

    Trust me I had the same mindset problem of points and pixels. It took awhile to get used to the difference of conversion. Being a fellow Ontarian, do you remember when Canada changed from Imperial units to Metric. At that time I had to work with both. Ended becoming a engineer. Boy were those conversions fun, but eventually came around to a Metric mind.

    No - I emigrated to Canada in 1991, so missed the switch over. In England, I worked in metric exclusively. However, I'm a residential CAD draftsman, and in Canada, we work SOLELY in imperial, as ALL construction materials in Canada are still in imperial sizes, due to trade with the US.
