    Default Cubism Stereogram

I was able to create a kind of tween by blending two cubes along a s-shaped curve to create the depth image for this stereogram.

Blends work best when both objects have the same number of control points to blend to. So for this I modified the fill and the shape of the three sides. I adjusted the Blend profile to correct the spacing.

The oval is also blended to the background rectangle. I created the circle first, then rotated it 45 degrees before stretching it to make the ellipse. I did this so the control points for the ellipse would align better with the control points on the rectangle. Maybe not necessary but it worked.

The pattern and depth image were used to create the stereogram. In addition an overlay was created to add color to the cubes and then Xara's excellent transparency to show some of the pattern beneath the color.

That's just beautiful, Gary! Even the other rows of cubes seem to float in space.

Good one Gary! My eyes instantly adjusted for this one. It usually takes me about 5 seconds; this one was fast.

"The oval is also blended to the background rectangle." Is that how you get the 3D part between the oval and the outer edge such that the part outside of the oval is also 3D, sloping back to the outer edge, rather than flat?
