The usual fix for this is to place a (white) box across the page under the NavBar and make it Sticky.
    This stops any bleed through.

You also need to ensure this and the NavBar are the topmost items.

It also has an impact if you have used Sticky at Top.
Don't mix the two stickies together.

Have to ask :-) What is the difference between "Sticky" and "Sticky at Top?

A sticky at Top object is placed on the page and will scroll up to the top of the browser and go no further. Sticky is fixed in place in relation to the top of the page.

Xara presents them differently in terms of what is under or over them. It gets more entertaining when you throw in a Stretch Full Width effect as well.
In XPro+v21.8, Xara may have tidied all this up; I have yet to check more carefully.

Hi eselick... I'm working on a mockup site for a customer that uses/shows some of what you're asking about regarding the navbar/stickies and.... what Acorn is explaining to you... just thought you might like to see what you 'CAN' accomplish.

    regards
    Cliff

    eselick,

Making a video like that. That's a great way to get to the point of showing a problem.

Just throwing an idea in. It's been a while since I played with navbars but is it possibly something to do with layers?

Try putting everything that is on the page that scrolls to the 'back'most layer and putting the navbar to the very 'front'most layer.

I had something similar some time ago and ended up using a solid white box behind the navbar on an 'in between' layer to resolve it. Like Acorn says.

Cliff, in your example webpage in FF & Edge scrolling the page just sends the page to 'top' on release of scrolling. However in Chrome it works as expected.

Egg thanks... on my system it seems to work fine in Edge... I don't have FF installed anymore so.. I'll tell ya, if there's one thing I'm at a loss with it's "it works fine on this or that" but "it doesn't work on that or this"...
I don't know how to handle or overcome this kind of thing. So for me if it works well in chrome I just settle, cross my fingers and send it out into the world...

In my mind there's always some kind of quirky thing with Xara... for example... the most recent update... I have two site that the 'Open Sans' font won't and/or displays wrong... so I had to change all. If one love's Xara... then one lives with the tradeoffs.

    Again.. thanks Egg!
