It is nice. You could add artifacts in to your shapes... adding slightly different hues and making them more dynamic. Duplicate a basic shape (intersect/cut out shapes and colour them slightly differently.)

Edit: In addition to using transparency... If you use different layers for the basic shapes = you can play around more freely without the fear of "messing up your whole design."

Just a thought... No right or wrong in mind.

The only thing I would say is that the line that shows the cheek, spoils it a bit for me.
I don't think it's needed.
Otherwise, it's beautifully composed.
