UTF-8 writing not working

Hello, i'm from Slovakia so we using in our language letters like š č ť ž ý á í etc.... If i trying to write word that contains these letters, it doesn't work. How can i fix this?

It might be the font you have does not have UTF-8 glyphs (výťah copied from Google Translate into Xara).

Is here any option to set a font to which i want as default? For example, i want to use Arial as default.

Open a new document.
Change Normal to Arial.
File > Save as Template.

I think this not working. The font is still Open Sans althought i change it to Arial and save template.

You need to select Update 'Normal text' to match.

I wasn't aware of that, and it's been that way for quite a while ... I've learnt something today. Thanks Acorn, my TEMPLATE is working better now.

české a slovenské znaky = háčky a čárky se dají psát jen s fontem, který má naše znaky v sobě. Já fonty testuji tak, že napíši všechny písmena s háčky apd a projedu si fonty, které se zobrazují česky.
